Seat Belt Safety
Although the use of seat belts has risen 1.5 percent in the last year, there are still individuals who buckle up on some occasions but not on others. Wearing a seat belt is one of the most effective and proven means of reducing the likelihood of death and serious injury in a crash.
Alabama’s seat belt law requires that all front-seat occupants, regardless of age, be restrained.

What you can do!
Buckle up as soon as you’re seated in a vehicle.
Encourage others to buckle up too!
Secure children in proper child restraints, whether that is a rear-facing infant seat, a forward-facing convertible child seat, booster seat or seat belt.
